Schwinn; the Kings of bicycles are Back!

Schwinn are Back

Schwinn have been around for what seems ever. If it wasn't for this brand, I'm not sure BMX or Mountain Biking would exist? The first BMX's were transformed Dragsters like the StingRay. The first Mountain Bikes were transformed Schwinn Beach Cruisers. So you see, if it weren't for Schwinn, I believe this website would contain rude images and useless Tour de Frog dribble.*

SS Sport - MensIn the US, almost every child has owned a Schwinn, much like the kids of Aus and Malvern Star. But, there's somthing about these bikes that I've always loved. They're built extremely well, they're affordable and they just look bloody cool. I'm a retro head at heart, so of course they'll appeal to me, but they're also quite refined in detail for a bike that wont break the bank.

Normally the Schwinn range in past years has kept itself limited to big-chain style stores like REBEL Sport and K-mart, which in my opinion killed a once great name in cycling. Well bless the bike gods, as they're now going to be releasing the coolest of their ranges into your Local Bike Shop from this Chrissy. Cruisers, dragsters, asphalt worriors and more will be tearing up the bitumen and beach paths with more style than Madonna's cone tits. Booyeah...

SS Sport Lady

The only problem I find with the huge range of bikes available will be picking just ONE to buy. I'm seriously stuffed on a decision. I'm down to about 4 to choose from, and to be honest, I'd really like to buy about 6-7 of the new range... They're really that cool!

Schwinn will be imported by the team at Sportz Australasia in Melbourne, and distributed nationally to all good bike stores and some shit ones. In the meantime, checkout Schwinn Bikes for a look at some of the cool rides available.

I'm so getting one/two/three/f...

*NB: Australia's best hope in the Tour de France this year is an ex-MTBer [ Cadel Evans ]... how cool is that?!
