BLUR OPTICS B1 Goggles < review >

by Andrew Day
The eyes are the organ of sight, the power of vision & the view of life. So when it comes to protecting your eyes look no further than the Blur Optics B1 goggles.
These days people fork out top dollar to get a name on their gear and they’re just getting sucked in from a mouthful of advertisement. There are so many brands of goggles out there it can make it difficult to pick the pair for you. So what do you do when trying to pick the perfect pair, do you need looks, comfort ability, vision, features & affordability? If you answered yes to any of the above mentioned the Blur Optics B1 goggles answers them all.
Features
The B1’s feature a very light & flexible frame with an anti-scratch & anti-fog lens for those colder days. The lens allows a heap of vision with the expanded field view system. They are tear-off compatible offering the “rip speed” tear-off system so you can quickly rip that muddy tear-off off before you hit that next corner. The four layer face foam fit offer compatibility & great sweat absorption. The strap is adjustable and has a glue type grip on the inside to grip to the helmet.
They come in 4 different colors to match anyone’s helmet.

My opinion
With my helmet [661 Flight] they are not quite the best fit & take quite a while to find that perfect spot for them to be comfortable & fit the helmet right. Being a Motorbike approved helmet, it is quite a lot larger than the typical bike helmet & so I have to have the strap on as loose as it will go to fit the helmet. The grip on the strap is amazing; it is so grippy the goggles have never slipped. Being anti-fog I still found it slightly fogged up when heavily breathing after stopping for a while with them on but that’s easily solved by just taking them off for a few seconds. The foam layers are great when it gets hot; it absorbs the sweat so it doesn’t drip into your eyes.
The vision is amazing; I couldn’t believe how much I could actually see when I was riding. After a good weekend of shuttling the inside I found didn’t like getting anything in there, when I went to rub the dust off it, it put little scratches on inside. The outer side of the lens yet has none from the anti-scratch affect.
Looks
Coming in 4 different colours; Red, Black, Blue & Black Fade you should be able to find the right colour to suit your needs. The goggle has a “mean” look & this would be because of the amount of vision you get out of them. The graphics design on the strap is great, it is not overdone but behind the main logo [blur] it has b. which looks great when looking from a distance or up close.
The main “blur’ logo stands out well so people will know what those awesome goggles are your wearing.
Price
If you’ve read the above, you’d expect to pay over $100 for these with the features and look’s but your WRONG. These 3 pairs only come in at AUD$65! So they are affordable for nearly everybody looking for that perfect pair. The black fade pair costs $79.95, replacement lens comes in at $15.95 & a 20 pack of tear-offs at $21.95.
Positives
The price. For anyone out there looking for a great affordable pair of goggles look no further, these are so affordable for what they are & I recommend them to anyone.
Negatives
The only negative I have found with these is only personal. They didn’t quite fit my helmet the best allowing a small amount of dust in underneath if I didn’t get them in that right spot.

These are top goggles and the price is one of the main features I marked it high but also the features it comes with, sensational.
